Cylinder subs were the original, and for some time, the only SVS's. No longer. New
box subs are now joining our our model lines with the same great quality, fantastic performance and innovative features. Whether box or cylinder, your next SVS will be the one audio component you relish, each time you walk into your home theater or music room.
 The originals. While boxes fit some décors and tastes better, cylinders still "rule" when it comes to taking up the least floor space, and providing the most cost-effective, high -performance bass solutions. Find your preferred component level, performance and price in one of our cylinder subs.
Taller than a typical box sub, our cutting-edge cylinder subs go up, not out. They can fit in very tight home theater corners, or even lay down behind a couch. Put one in a corner and both visually and acoustically these SVS's virtually disappear. The light and efficient nature of cylinders make them ideal
packages for bass reproduction. A bit less expensive and easier to move than box subwoofers, you can squeeze unbelievable performance into any sized room with one of these.
 The upstarts.
Five years ago, while re-inventing cylinder subwoofers, we started R/D on what might well be the most potent line of "box" subwoofers, ever. With both a "no-holds-barred" B12-Plus/4 ... and the entry level PB10-ISD
on either end of the cost spectrum, you'll be seeing more box SVS's
as the competition buckles. Proof? The
PB12-Plus and PB12-Ultras!
For many customers, the traditional "box" subwoofer is the still the way to go. While boxes tend to be heavier, and cost a bit more, compared to our cylinder subs (for any given level of performance), boxes do offer very low height and the ability to use one as an end-table. Durable and attractive finishes complete the package.
Boxes lend themselves to dual woofer configurations too.
If you want a sub to fill a large room, and outgun any
theater you have been to, the big SVS "Powered Boxes" (PB's)
are your path to audio nirvana.
